Japan/School life

So Osaka is official. I cannot believe that I'll be leaving in less than 2 weeks.  I'll be leaving Friday evening on the 30th at 5pm from Gimpo. I'll arrive in Osaka, but will catch a train/bus to Kyoto right away. I will spend 3 nights in Kyoto, then head back to Osaka for 2 nights. I will be going alone and I am excited! The pros of going alone is that I can be as carefree as I want. However, the cons are eating alone, getting lost alone, and being in pictures alone.

Tomorrow, I will have 7 classes in a row, including an open class. Usually, I have 6 but one class was cancelled last week, so I have to make it up tomorrow. I hope I don't freak out on a kid and punch him/her in the face. Wednesdays are so stressful. The day never seems to end. I have no time to just sit down and have a cup of coffee. My teaching day ends at 4pm and I go home at 4:30, but then I use that 1/2 hour to prepare for next day's classes. I hate complaining, so I'll shut up now.

I hope I don't make teaching sound terrible. Here's a short list of what I really enjoy...

1. When a kid has no idea what I'm saying and I have no idea what he/she is saying, then we both say "WHAT?!" in different languages, then we laugh about it.
2. When an activity you plan turns out well in class and the kids are begging for more even when the bell has rung.
3. When someone really pisses me off and I slam a book down really hard in front of their face. This is followed by 15 minutes of having a quiet classroom because they're too scared to say anything.
4. When candy/snack is left on my desk at the teacher's room.
5. When kids ask me for my signature on their hands or their books. It makes me feel famous.
